Meeting of the DAANZ Executive, held 24/01/04 at Villawood, NSW.

Meeting opened at 3:15pm

- DAANZ membership list - maintained by Secretary, held by President. It is available to other members of the association on request and only where it is to be used in accordance with the DAANZ constitution and the relevant government requirements.

- The Player Address List is maintained by Jason Whitby, and is available from the Exec for tournament organisers wishing to use it to promote an upcoming event.

- The Exec make the suggestion that if you would like something distributed to either of these lists an option is to send item onto the exec and they will forward it on (after review) for you.

- Notification of tournaments - Exec discussed and would like to re-confirm that the minimum notification that a tournament is being held is three months. It is our strong request that all tournament organisers aim to give one years notice of upcoming events.

- At this time the following tournaments are possibilities, and there LIKELY dates are also listed below:
= Gong Con - last week of November, first week of December (weekend that falls within that time). This tournament will be going ahead, but dates cannot be advised until University semester starts.
= Don - preferable weekend is 2nd and 3rd of October. There is a general feeling from Vic players that would like to see it happen, but no organiser has yet been confirmed for the event.

- Donation/contribution - if a tournament runs at a loss the affiliation fee can be waived at the discretion of the Executive. We will also consider assisting with tournament publicity costs on a case-by-case basis.

- Geoff advised he has not been able to publish the RAG. We are looking for someone to volunteer to put out four issues a year, but even if you are willing just to do one please let us know.
